Isaac & Patsey Moore to Jeremiah Bailey

This Indenture made this 30th day of August one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven Between Jeremiah Bailey of the County of Barren and State of Kentucky of the one part and Isaac Moore and Patsey his wife of the County and State aforesaid the other part, Witnesseth that the said Isaac Moore and Patsey his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of four hundred and sixty nine Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Jeremiah Bailey the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Jeremiah Bailey, a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Barren on the head waters of Rose Creek and bounded as followeth To wit:
Beginning at a white Oak dogwood and poplar running thence East one hundred and seventy nine poles to a white Oak Dogwood and Clump thence North one hundred and seventy nine poles to a buch ash and Dogwood thence West one hundred and seventy nine poles to two poplars and Hack gum thence South one hundred and seventy nine poles to the Beginning containing two hundred acres and those Isaac Moore and Patsey his wife do by their presents warrant and forever defend the same with all the appurtenances there unto belonging, and any appertaining to the only uses and (?) of the aforesaid Jeremiah Bailey, his Heirs, assigns, themselves, their Heirs, and all and any other person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof they have hereunto set their hands and seals this day, and year above written.

Kentucky Barren County To wit:
I William Logan Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do Certify that this Deed of Conveyance from Isaac Moore and Patsey his wife to Jeremiah Bailey was acknowledged before me by the (? crossed out) Jeremiah Bailey and seals to be their act and Deed the said writing, being shown and explained to the said Patsey Moore did and that she freely and voluntarily, acknowledges the same to be her act and Deed and consented that the said Deed should be Recorded and that she wishes not to Retract her acknowledgement, whereupon the aforesaid Conveyance and this Certificate hath been duly admitted to Record in my Office given under my hand this 26th day of September 1827.
