Lillard Family
Gustavus Dedman Lillard was born Dec 1864 in Anderson County, KY. This photograph was taken in 1893 when he was beginning his medical practice in Lawrenceburg. He served as a physician until the day of his death in December 1935 in Lawrenceburg.
In 1917 he married a young widow with four little daughters, Ola Bullock Bowles. He raised the four girls as his own, though they kept the Bowles surname.
The last of those children, Thelma Elizabeth Bowles Ashley, passed away in January 2006 in Richmond, KY, at age 93.
I also have pictures of his sisters, Helen Lillard Ripy and Fannie Lillard Boswell if any descendant would like to have them.
