MAJOR CEMETERY
Off Herndon Road. Surrounded by a falling rock wall, the oldest stones (readable) in the cemetery are 1850s.
Most stones are upright with footstones; however a few are broken and parts were underground. It is largely overgrown with trees and brush.
The stones are in three family groups (L & M Major and Lucretia, J & L Majors and M & W George) with the
grave of WB Major apart from the others. There are also fieldstone markers.
