Born on September 5, 1915 in Wolf County, KY to Lewis and Nancy (nee: Creech) Campbell, he worked as a tool and die maker for NCR. He graduated from Moeller Barber College and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Middletown. Preceded in death by his parents, wives, Gladys Campbell and Beatrice Campbell, brothers, Alex, William Ray, Amos and Isiah Campbell, and sisters, Becky Campbell, Elizabeth Ashley, Marie Yeary, Fannie Meadows, Emma Ashley, and Rose Scott, survivors include wife, Helen (nee: Thornburg) Campbell, sons, William Ray Campbell (Joyce) of Houston, TX and Jack Campbell (Sandy) of Ennis, TX, daughters, Lois Roten (Howard) of Howard, OH, Reva Race (Robert) of Mansfield, OH, Brenda Wooten (William) of College Station, TX, and Rose Fritz (Larry) of Royse City, TX, 18 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday March 3, 2009 from 6-8pm with service on Wednesday March 4, 2009 at 10am, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon, OH. Interment is in Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Baptist Church, Middletown, OH.
