OBITUARY: Combs, Ova Jr. - Thursday, May 15, 2008 Submitted by: Carter L. Combs ********************************************************************* Ova Combs Jr., 61, of 240 Skinner Branch Rd., Clay City, partner of Linda Hedrick, passed away at 8:53 PM Thursday May 15, 2008 at his home. A native of Wolfe County, he was the son of Marie Dunn Combs of Winchester and the late Ova Combs Sr. He was a retired employee of the Clark County Fiscal Court, former custodian at St. Agatha Academy and a member of the Berean Baptist Church. Additional survivors include two sons, Ova Combs III of Clay City and Gregory Allen Combs of Winchester; one daughter, Alisha Gail Combs of Clay City; two grandchildren, Dylan Neal of Clay City and Alexa Baker of Clay City; two brothers, Gary Combs of Winchester and Jimmy Combs of Winchester; two sisters, Darlene Adkinson of Winchester and Karen Spencer of Winchester and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister Louise Combs. Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday May 19, 2008 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Jonathan Taylor, Rev. Scott Rogers and Rev. Jimmy Muncie. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Gary Combs Jr., Colby Combs, Eric Johnson, Aaron Spencer, Timothy Christopher, Matthew Christopher, Nicholas Christopher and Michael Long. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Combs and Jim Little.
