OBITUARY: Cole, Maggie Childers From: vivianmoon@juno.com    Date: May 23, 2004 May 9, 2004 Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio Maggie Cole Maggie Cole, 87, of Middletown, died Friday morning at Middletown Regional Hospital after many years of heart and respiratory problems. She was born Sept. 24, 1916, in Campton, [Wolfe County], Ky., the daughter of Richard and Dora Childers. Maggie retired from the central kitchen of Middletown High School in 1982. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the Jolly 60¹s. Mrs. Cole is survived by two daughters, Sharon Thomas (husband, Paul Clark) of Fairfield, who was her mother¹s caregiver for many years, and Vondie Kneisel of Alpharetta, Ga.; two sons, Terry Cole (Alex) of Middletown and Eddie Cole (Ida) of Trenton; and a sister, Opal (Don) Slaughter, of Dunnellon, Fla. Maggie was known as ³meme² to all her nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Cole, in 1974; a son, James ³Kenny² Cole in 1998; six brothers, Herbert, Edgar, Clarence, Shirley, Richard and Orville Childers; and two sisters, Eva Strong and Garnett Fox. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Home with the Rev. Howard Sears officiating. Friends may call from noon until service time Tuesday. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
