Obituary: Cornett, Lois Mae Jackson - Friday, November, 9, 2007 Published in the Hamilton Journal-News on 11/11/2007. Submitted by: Connie Spurlock ********************************************************************** CORNETT, Lois Mae Jackson Age 71, of Fairfield, passed away at Mercy Fairfield on Friday November 9, 2007. Born August 2, 1936 in Frenchburg, Ky. to the late Fred Denton and Lina (Sargent) Jackson. On June 16, 1956, Lois married her husband of over 51 years, Ronald S. Cornett in Frenchburg (Menifee Co.), Ky. and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2007. Lois received her B.A and M.A. in education from Miami University. She retired from teaching in 1997 from New Miami and was a member of the Fairfield Wesleyan Church. Lois was loved by everyone and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Warren, Ronald Brent, Jeffrey, Rebecca Cornett, Elizabeth (Terry) Hair all of Fairfield; and David (Shirley) Cornett of Slidell, LA; grandchildren: Adam Cornett, Benjamin Aalaei, Samuel, Andrew and Veronica Hair; sister Carol Gaye Newton of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ona Lou and Ferd Renninger, J.I. and Sharon Cornett, Troy and Pam Cornett, and Timmy and Kay Cornett; many nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place and Memorial services will be held on Tuesday November 13, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fairfield Wesleyan Church, with Pastors Alex Mandura and Stan Booher officiating. Family and friends will be received on Monday November 12 from 5-8 p.m. at The Webb Noonan Funeral Home, at Ross and South "D" Street. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in the Cornett name to the Dayton Foundation Trust, 500 Kettering Tower, Dayton, OH 45243. The Family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Cook and the staff at Mercy Hospital for all their loving and support.
