James Monroe Burton 

Age 69, passed away February 17, 2005. He was born on May 17, 
1935, in Lee County, KY, to the late Courtney and Edna (Taulbee) 
Burton. On November 21, 1956, he married Betty Watkins. He moved 
to South Lyon 40 years ago. Monroe is survived by his wife Betty 
Burton of South Lyon, 2 children: Rita Burton of Fenton, Jewell 
(Russell) Falkner of Fenton, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 grandchild James 
Thomas Falkner. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. 
A Funeral Service was held on Monday, February 21, at Phillips Funeral 
Home, South Lyon. Memorial contributions may be made to American 
Cancer Society 2010 Hogback Rd. Ste. 6 Ann Arbor, MI 48105 or 
American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 2680 North Canton, OH 44720
