Joe C. Watkins

    Joe C. Watkins, age 70, of Middletown, passed away Monday, January 
31, 2005, at his residence. 
    He was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky, January 18, 1935, a son of 
Isaac and Naomi Watkins. He worked as a Mechanic and Maintenance Man, 
and formerly belonged to the Moose Lodge. He was a veteran of the Air 
Force, where he served as an Airplane Mechanic. 
    He is survived by three daughters, Frankie (Jeff) Powers of 
Middletown, April Moore of Carlisle, and Becky (Gregory) Fite of Alaska; a 
son, Joe Watkins, Jr. of Middletown; his mother, Mrs. Naomi Watkins of 
Middletown; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and two 
sisters, Elizabeth Watkins of Middletown, and Mamie Norvell of Texas; His 
wife, Frankie, preceded him in death in 1998. 
    He was also preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Naomi 
Watkins; a brother, William J. Watkins, Sr. and a grandson, Jeffrey Wayne 
Powers, Jr. 
    Funeral services will be Friday, February 4, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at 
the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Friends may call from 12 
noon till service time Friday. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery. 
The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to 
the family, if desired.
