Submitted by: Connie Spurlock ********************************************************************** JOHNSON, Forrest "Ray," 79 of Dayton, formerly of Menifee Co. KY, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008 at Heartland of Kettering, after a long battle with cancer. He had 30 years service at Dayton Walther and 18 years service at Monarch Marking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newt and LaRue Johnson; daughter Patricia; sister, Loretta; and brothers, Jim and Harold. He is survived by Christine, his loving wife; brothers Quinton, Jack, and LeRoy; children, Forrest Jr. (Verena), Daniel (Joyce), Miles (Cathy), and Deborah (John) Gaeke; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends. His fondest memories of his life included those of his grandmother who lovingly nicknamed him Toby. They are now reunited again. Visitation will be held 5-7PM Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
