Combs lovingly called "Uncle Thrasher" died at his home in Campton, Tuesday night, April 7 after an illness of only a few days. He had a heart attack. Funeral services were held in the Campton Baptist Church on Thursday afternoon at one o'clock with Rev. John Dalton officiating. Burial was in the Hazel Green cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pocahontas Combs of Campton, and two sons, I.M. Combs of Campton and Charles Combs of Fayettesville, Ark. and two daughters, Mrs. Belle Thompson and Mrs. Irene Thompson of Lexington, and other relatives.
