Obituary: Elam, Edith Jewell Clark - Wednesday, August 31, 1983 Wolfe County News - Sept. 1983 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** EDITH ELAM DIES AUG. 31 Mrs. Edith Jewell Elam, 74, resident of Allen's Rest Home, west Liberty, and formerly of Campton, died Wednesday, August 31 at the Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital, West Liberty, after a short illness. Mrs. Elam was a native of Wolfe County. She was a former teacher, and a former employee of Trumkin? Manufacturing Company of Akron, Ohio, and a member of the Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late C.M. and Mary Rose Clark. Survivors are one son, Richard Clark Elam of Frankfort, Ky., one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Lynn of Frankfort; one brother, Reed Clark of Middletown, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Alma York of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Ruth Tutt and Mrs. Maude Mayabb both of Campton; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2 at the Porter and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Chamberlin and Rev. Gary Mayabb officiating.
