Lafayette Nicholas (Nick) Coons, 94, of Campton d. Aug. 1, at Magoffin
Medical Center, Salyersville, after a short illness.
 
Mr. Coons was a retired plumber and well driller.  He was preceded in
death by his wife, Nora Coons, in 1976.
 
Survivors are two daughters, Mary F. Weddle of Bowling Green, and Betty
Brooks of Clearwater, Fla.; three sons, Henry Coons of Santa Anna,
Calif., Clarence Coons, and James Coons, both of Dayton, Ohio, 10
grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two sisters, Elizabeth
Evans of Campton and Bertha Williams of Ypsilanti, Michigan; two
brothers, John Coons of Bedford, Ky., and Shully Coons of Phoenix, Arizona.
 
Burial in the Evans Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
