Wesley Menifee Trent, 97, of Maytown, KY, died Monday, March 10 at the Nim Henson Nursing Home in Jackson after a two year illness. Mr. Trent had been an ordained minister for 35 years and a member of the Baptist Church for 80 years and a lifelong resident of Wolfe County. Survivors are his wife, Katherine Spencer Trent of Maytown; two sons, Quentin Trent of Romulus, Mich., Kermitt Trent of Brockton, Mass.; 35 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 13 at the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chester Trent officiating.
