ARCH T. JOHNSON WOLFE NATIVE DIES AT HOME     
 
Arch T. Johnson, 79, died Sunday, March 13 at his home after a four year
illness.  He was born Aug. 11, 1897 in Wolfe County and was a retired
farmer.
 
Surviving are his wife, Agnie Rose Johnson of Hazel Green; one daughter,
Mrs. Rosemary Johnson Harris of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Bryan H.
Johnson of Middletown, Ohio and Ellis Johnson of Jackson, one brother,
Robert Johnson of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four sisters, Ethel Buchanan 
of Hazel Green, Mary Walker of Dearborn, Mich., Gladys Franklin of
Arlington, Va., and Lillian Cann of Pompano Beach, Florida and eight
grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at the
Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Kenney officiating.
Burial was in the Hazel Green Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.
