Obituary: Conway, John - Monday, May 16, 1977 Wolfe County News - May 23, 1977 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** DEATH CLAIMS JOHN CONWAY John Conway, 79, husband of Serina Conway, of Route 1, Campton, died at 9:20 p.m. Monday, at his home after a long illness. He was a native of Perry County, and a retired farmer. He was the son of the late Sampson and Elizabeth Hughs Conway. Other survivors besides his wife include two sons, Burnam Conway, Campton, and Paul Conway, Somerville, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Opal Gillispie of Route 1 Campton, Mrs. Are Butes King, Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Elizabeth Noble of Dayton, Ohio; and Mrs. Ray Pridemore, Oak Harbor, Washington; three brothers, Elisha Conway, Lebanon, Ohio, Jim and Callaway Conway, both of Ary, KY.; two sisters, Mrs. Peggy Jones, Hazard, and Mrs. Martha Williams, Fairborn, Ohio; 23 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at the Campton First Church of God, with Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating.
