FUNERAL RITES HELD IN WOLFE, TUESDAY FOR DEWEY JAMES, 17

Funeral services for Dewey Frank James, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Ben James of Hazel Green, who was fatally injured on Saturday night, 
May 31, 1952 in an automobile accident near Ezel, were conducted at 
church on Tuesday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wilford Fisher of VanCleve 
officiating.  Pall bearers were: Scotty Rose, E.T. Kash, Jr., Carmie 
Huff, Taylor Watkins, Rex Nickell, all of Hazel Green and Paul Ferguson 
of Gillmore.  Burial followed in the Hazel Green cemetery with Potter 
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 

Dewey is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben James of Hazel 
Green, five brothers; A.C. of South Whitley, Ind; Everett of Chicago, Ill: 
Archie and Jesse of Ft. Wayne, Ind; and Delbert at home; three sisters; 
Mrs. Rose Firks, Battle Creek, Michigan; Sarah Enith of Ft. Wayne, Ind; 
and Jewell Ann at home.  Also his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Rosa 
Nickell of Hazel Green and many other relatives and friends.
