BURCHAM DIES AUGUST 31 John Millard Burcham, 75, died suddenly from a heart attack at the home of his brother-in-law, G.B. Combs, of Route 1, Campton, at approximately 8:20 a.m. Thursday, August 31. He was a native of Wolfe County, a retired coalminer, a member of the Church of God, Cox Lodge No. 464 F.& A.M., Eve Chapter No. 272, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was the son of the late John and Mollie Little. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, and four brothers, Jimmie Burcham, Detroit, Mich., Charlie Burcham of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Everett Burcham, Logan, Ohio, and Raymond Burcham of Muncie, Indiana, three sisters, Mrs. Pline_ Taulbee, Logan, Ohio, Mrs. Ruby Belcher, Ypsilanti, Mich., and Mrs. _____ Ely, Detroit, Michigan and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday Sept. 2 at the Campton First Church of God by Rev. Doyle Thomas. Burial was in the Hazel Green Cemetery at Hazel Green with Masonic rites.
