He would have been 87 had he lived until October 25th, as he was born on that date in the year 1866. He was the oldest of nine children born to the late Stephen James and Angleine Trimble James of Hazel Green. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella James, Hazel Green, a brother, S.P. James, Hazel Green and two sisters, Mrs. E.A. Arnett, Hazel Green and Mrs. J.H. Amyx, Marshall, Ill; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and a host of friends. He was a member of the Christian Chruch. Funeral services were conducted Monday morning, July 6th at eleven o'clock at the Hazel Green cemetery by Rev. John Dalton and Rev.
