Obituary: Banks, James Monroe - Monday, December 22, 1975 Wolfe County News - January 2, 1976 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** James Monroe Banks, 67, rt. 1 Campton, died Monday, Dec. 22 in the Prestonsburg Hospital. Mr. Banks was born Feb. 22, 1908 at Lee City, a son of Mrs. Nettie Banks and the late Tilden Banks. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Pentacostal Church. Survivors besides his mother, are two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Chaney of Buskirk and Mrs. Ora Harvey of Elsie, one brother, Adam Banks of Route 1 Campton. Funeral services were conducted, Wednesday, Dec. 24 at the Lee City Church of God with Rev. Johnnie Davis and Rev. Odell Hall officiating.
