DEATH CLAIMS MITCH BREWER          
 
Mitch Brewer, 66, of Pine Ridge died Sunday, Dec. 12, after a short
illness.  A native of Wolfe County, he was a retired construction
worker, farmer, and merchant and was a member of Cox Masonic Lodge of
Campton and the Primitive Baptist Church.
 
Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife, Ruth Dunn Brewer; one son, Robert
Joel Brewer of Campton; four daughters, Mrs. Alvan 
Graham and Mrs. Thomas Redmon of Winchester, Mrs. Bill Cable of Dayton,
Ohio, and Mrs. Harold Lane of Cincinnati; one brother, Merida Ervin
Brewer of Middletown, Ohio; one half brother, Nathan Brewer of Bethany;
three sisters, Mrs. Josie Your of Deland, Fla., Mrs. Pearl Buchanan of
Portsmouth, Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Vancleve of Hollonsville, and 10
grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were conducted Wed. Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. at the Campton
Church of God by Rev. Ira Dunn and Rev. Doyle Thomas.  Burial was in
Evans Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home.  
Masonic rites were conducted at the funeral home.
 
Pallbearers were Ray Cable, Tip Dunn, Ed Graham, Ted Holbrook, Roger
Johnson and Doris Spencer.
