Death Claims Aunt Nan Clark

Nannie Clark, better known as "Aun Nan". of Hazel Green, died at 1:00 
p.m. Thursday afternoon, July 28, after a long illness.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Clarence Elkins, who has been 
taking care of her for the past months.  A niece, Mrs. Stella Mason of 
Covington, and other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. Ryan Nevius at his church, 
at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.  E.A. Arnett was in charge of funeral 
arrangements and the burial.

Interment was in the local cemetery.

Pallbearers were D.C. Rose, Hobert Halsey, Ed Buchanan, James I. 
Hollon, Carl Walter, and Franklin Walter.

Aunt Nan was well past her eighties.  She had lived a long and useful 
life. Always she had cherished the beauty in nature and kept her self 
surrounded with flowers and shrubs, all during the flowering season.

It might well be said of her that her every thought was of others, for 
she was continually inquiring about someone or doing something to 
benefit someone else.  She will be greatly missed by her many friends.
