LACY CREEK MAN DIED WEDNESDAY

J.R. Brooks, aged about 65, died at his home of Lacy Creek, Wednesday, 
September 5, as a result of a paraletic stroke.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Trimble Brooks, a daughter, India 
Alice Brooks Meyer; a son, Robert Jr., a sister, and a host of friends 
and relatives.

Rev. John C. Cassett, minister of the Methodist Church at Hazel Green, 
officated at his funeral.

Interment was in the Trimble Cemetery near his home, Thursday.
