Wolfe County News  Nov. 1, 1946

UNCLE DICKY CRAWFORD, 80, a Spanish-American war veteran, died in the 
Veteran's Hospital at Lexington last week and was buried at Gosneyville 
on Friday, October 25.  He is survived by his wife, Sara Crawford, of 
Trent; a sister, Mrs. T.K. Tutt, of Gosneyville, and an adopted child, 
Billy Crawford, 8 years of age, also Mrs. Chester Phipps and Mrs. Ethel 
Bowe, stepdaughters.

Uncle Dicky is the son of Hoy Bonaparte Crawford and Orena Hollon. He 
was born October 17, 1872 and died October 22, 1956. His full name is 
Jonathon Richard Crawford and his wife is Sarah (Sally) Ratliff (I'm not sure if 
this is her maiden name or a name from a previous marriage) I don't know 
about the three children mentioned, but Mrs. T.K. Tutt is Uncle Dicky's 
sister,Llewellyn (Lou Ellen) Crawford married to Thomas Kelly Tutt, Jr.
