DANNY COX, 30 DIES OF SHORT ILLNESS IN VA	

Danny William Cox, 30, died Wednesday morning, June 8, at the Veterans 
Adminstration hospital, Lexington, after a short illness.  He was a 
native of Wolfe County and a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nellie Trent Cox: three daughters, Lisa, 
Debbie and Joanie Cox, at home; one son, Danny William Cox, Jr., at 
home, his mother, Mrs. Opal Cox, Campton; a brother, Jackie Cox, Campton; 
three sisters, Misses Charlene and Karen Cox, Campton and Mrs. Phyllis 
Sewell, Dayton, Ohio; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Laura Cox, Campton, 
and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Brewer, Campton.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Campton Baptist 
Church by the Rev. Ray Cummings.  Burial will be in the Evans Cemetery, 
Wolfe county.  The body is at the Shackelford Funeral Home.
