He lived a few hours after a log rolled against him crushing him between two logs. He was a member of the Sunlight Baptist Chruch at Callaboose, and left a bright testimony. Graveside funeral rites were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bowen Long introducing the service and Rev. Carl Payton concluding the service. Internment was in the Banks Cemetery in Callaboose. Many friends with floral offerings paid tribute to the life and memory of Davy. He leaves to mourn his loss, four nieces, Mrs. Newt Long, Mrs. Lula Banks, Mrs. Willie Brashears and Mrs. Melvin Banks, and several nephews.
