Wolfe County News, Feb. 21, 1951

ISOM BRUCE BYRD 79 Campton, Ky passed away, Wednesday, February 7th at 
his home near Campton following a brief illness.

Dr. Ralph Gullett of West Liberty pronounced heart trouble as the cause 
of death.

He leaves to mourn his loss; his wife Luetta Byrd, one brother, John M. 
Byrd, Campton; three sons, Carl Byrd and Floyd Byrd both of Campton and 
Charles Byrd of Jeffersonville, KY: three daughters, Hettie Brashears 
and Victoria Tutt, Campton and Blanche Horton, Ridgeway, IL.

On son, Elmer Byrd of Camden, Ohio, preceded him in death three years.

He also left 34 grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.  His 
body was taken to Hearne Funeral Home at Stanton and prepared for 
burial.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Leonard Faulkner at Peniel 
Church, Rocky Branch and interment was in the family graveyard.

The Masons of Campton were in charge of the burial.
