Childers, 82, retired hotel proprietor died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 210 Winn avenue, after a short illness. He was a native of Estill county, son of the late Eph and Margaret Cable Childers, and was a member of the Campton Methodist church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Childers; three daughters, Mrs. George Holt, Campton, and Mrs. R. F. Hart and Mrs. W. H. Carroll, both of Winchester, three sons, Shirley Childers, Shepherd, Mich.: Pryce Childers, Johnson City, Tenn., and John Childers, Winchester; two brothers, Robert Childers, Washington, D.C. and William Childers, Estill county; a sister, Mrs. Silas Rogers, Winchester; eigth grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in the Winchester cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Joe Lewis and the Rev. Ramah Johnson; both of Campton. The body is at the residence. Besides Mr. and Mrs. George Holt, who were already in Winchester, others attending the funeral of Mr. Hooker Childers from Campton were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Swope, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Lindon, Mrs. E.E. Tyra, Mrs. Bert Bumgardner and Mrs. James Cable. Mr. and Mrs. E.E.
