WOLFE COUNTY NEWS, Sept. 8, 1954

CRAWFORD RITES HELD AT FLAT

Courtney Crawford, 51, died at his home in Dayton, Ohio Friday morning, 
September 3.  He had been ill for sometime.

The body was brought back to Wolfe County for funeral and burial 
services by Hearne Funeral Home.  Funeral and burial was in the home cemetery 
at Flat, KY.  Rev. H.G. Murrel officiated and the Methodist choir of 
the Campton church asisted by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wallace of Lexington, 
sang.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Lovelace Crawford, Dayton, 
Ohio, and three daughters, Miss Reva Crawford, at home, Mrs. James Clark, 
Dayton, and Mrs. Fern Collins, Salyersville, KY.  Also his mother, Mrs. 
Maggie Crawford and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Bradley, both of Flat, Ky.
