Held in jail is Jim McQuinn, 38, son of Mr. and Mrs. Logan McQuinn, Wolfe County, awaiting examining trial. Elkins was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Elkins of Hunting Fork of Holly, Wolfe County. Sheriff George G. Little, said that McQuinn admitted Saturday to having cut Frank Elkins with his knife. Sheriff Little says that McQuinn asked him if the Elkins fellow was dead, and when he replied, "Yes" McQuinn, said, "Well, I reckon a fellow has a right to protect himself." McQuinn has a wife and six children.
