HAYES Funeral services for Thomas Hayes, 86 were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7 at the Fincastle Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. One Banks. Mr. Hayes the son of the late Thomas and Mary Crawford Hayes, was born in Wolfe County, April 18, 1870 and died at his home in Lee County, February 6, after one week illness. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Nannie Hayes, one brother, Jerry Hayes of St. Helens, one sister, Mrs. Amanda Gentry of St. Helens. Burial was in the Kincaid Cemetery at Fincastle, with King Justice Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. They md. 5/30/1903 Lee. THOMAS was age 2 in 1870 Wolfe, so he was probably b. 4/18/1868 (instead of 1870). His sister AMANDA was md. to SAMUEL PLUMMER GENTRY. The family lived in Wolfe 1870-1880. THOMAS & his siblings were in Wolfe 1900. THOMAS is in Lee 1910 & 1920.
