Funeral services were conducted at the home of 1111 West Third Street, Sterling, Ill, on Friday afternoon at 3:30 with Rev. Vernon S. Jones, pastor of the St. Luke's Episopal Chruch, Dixon, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. H.J. Randall of Morrison. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery in Sterling. He was born on Dec. 19, 1896, at Stillwater, Ky, a son of the late C.S. Cecil and Mrs. Lula Rose Cecil of Hazel Green. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Stager of Sterling, Ill. A veteran of World War I, he was in the steel industry for 27 years, residing for a time in Chicago, later in Pittsburgh. He was a member of the Grace Espicopal Church and the Newcomen Society of North America. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary S. Cecil; and two sons, Robert; 13; and Charles Hogg, Jr., 12 of Sterling; and a brother, Roy M. Cecil, and his mother, Mrs. Lula Rose Cecil, both of Hazel Green. He had one niece, Mrs. Arthur Seesholtz fo Lexington, Ohio and one nephew, Charles K.
