Wolfe County News - March 14, 1956

EMILY CREECH DIED IN WOLFE AT AGE OF 75

Emily Bell Creech, 75, died March 10 at 7 p.m. at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Dovah Denniston of Pine Ridge.

She was the widow of the late Noah Creech and was a member of the 
Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Creech and Mrs. 
Eliza Jane MacGilliuray both of Detroit, Mich; Mrs. Dovah Denniston, 
Pine Ridge and Mrs. Ruth Combs Sons, Nada.  Also one son, Alex Creech of 
Valeria; two brothers, John Moley Centers, Ohio and Captain Centers, 
Jeffersonville and one sister, Mrs. Louvena Creech, Lexington, and 34 
grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at B.F. Porter and Son Funeral Home; 
Campton, Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jasper Creech officiating.  The 
body was at the funeral home from Saturday evening until time for the 
burial, which was in the Spencer Cemetery near Campton.
