CHILDERS, Larry J. age 60, of Campton, Kentucky, formerly of Middletown,
passed away Friday at the Kentucky River Medical Center. He was born in
Breathitt County, Kentucky, June 25, 1949, the son of Robert and Hazel
(Rose) Childers, and worked for 25 years for the Akers Packaging Company
as a Corrugator Operator. Survivors include his son, Larry J. Childers
of Middletown; his daughter, Janie Childers of Middletown; 3
grandchildren, Tiffany Childers, Tosha Childers, and Dylan Childers; a
greatgranddaughter, Hayden Childers; a sister, Shirley Kairn of Peebles,
OH; and 3 brothers, Warren Childers of Germantown, and Kent Pate and
Greg Hall, both of Middletown. He was preceded in death by his parents;
a sister, Lois Childers; and a brother, Clarence Childers. Funeral
services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 24, at the
Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Michael
Spencer. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Burial
will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
