Obituary: Barker, Floyd - Monday, December 22, 2008 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** Floyd Barker, 81, of 45 Hughes Ave., widower of Reva Slusher Barker, died at 12:40 a.m. Monday at the Clark Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Campton and a son of the late Dillard and Millie Perry Barker. He was retired from the Freeman Corporation and was an Army veteran. Survivors include a daughter and a son-in-law, Betty and Carson Hansel of Clark County; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald Barker and Bill and Mary Lou Barker, all of Winchester; five grandchildren, Andrea Shrout, Carson Lee Hansel Jr., Angela Huff and Michael Flody Barker, all of Winchester and Floyd Dwayne Barker of Richmond; nine great-grandchildren, one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Shirlee and George Lapp of Wadsworth, Texas; one stepson, James Roe Reed of Sandy Hook; one sister, Alene Arledge of Winchester and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by one son, Floyd Barker Jr. and a stepson, Joe Thomas Reed. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Lee Cruse. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
