Obituary: Cox, Jackson "Jackie" - Friday, August 4, 2000 Middletown Journal Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** Jackson "Jackie" Cox, 61 of Middletown d. Friday, Aug. 4, 2000 in Cincinnati. He was born April 16, 1939 in Pineridge, KY., and had lived in the area for 40 years. Mr. Cox was a Vietnam veteran and received a Bronze Star. He worked as a crane operator at Armco Steel for 23 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Jefferson Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine, America Legion, 218, VFW Vietnam "Bronze Star" and the Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Joy Cox, daughters Debra Curtis (Tony) of Trenton and Belinda McClelland (Mark) of Franklin; a grandson, Brian McClelland of Franklin; granddaughters, Beth McClelland of Franklin, Aundrea Curtis of Trenton, Brittany McClelland of Franklin and Aluara Curtis of Trenton; and a half sister, Jane Coates of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Jessie Cox.
