Obituary: Banks, Cora (Banks) - Sunday, January 9, 2000 Middletown Journal Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** Cora Banks FRANKLIN-Mrs. Cora Banks, 75, of 671 Virginia Ave., passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, at Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. She was born on April 24, 1924, in Pence Branch, Ky., the daughter of John "Coon" Wesley and Minnie (Pence) Banks. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Andrew A. Banks in 1968; two sons, Charles and Walter; and a daughter, Loretta. Surviving are five sons, Russell Banks of Adams County, Ohio, James Banks of Middletown, Rex Banks of Arizona, Cecil Banks of Adams County, and Fred Banks of Florida; four daughters, Minnie Milligan of Tennessee, Reba Branham of Franklin, Norma Barker of Hamilton and Jenny Pearson of Miamisburg; a brother, Will Banks of Florida; a sister-in-law, Mary Banks of Franklin; and more than 70 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, with the Revs. Chester Collins and Bennie Sutherland officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
