Charles L. Childers
    Charles L. Childers, 65, of Middletown, died Sunday, June 17, 2001,
at his residence.
    He was born on June 14, 1935, in Wolfe County, Ky., and was a
31-year resident of the Middletown area. Mr. Childers was an assembler
at Square D Co. and had worked there for 20 years before retiring in
1998.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Hazel Childers;
and a brother, Richard Ted Childers in 1999.
    Survivors include his longtime companion of 26 years, Donna Bowman
of Middletown; daughters, Rita (Keith) Whitaker of Williamstown, Ky.,
and Rhonda Barnes of Corinth, Ky.; grandchildren, Keisha Whitaker of
Williamstown, Ky., and Janell Barnes of Corinth, Ky.; a stepdaughter,
Joyce (Robert) Faulkner of Carlisle, Ohio; stepsons, Jerry (Betty)
Bowman and David (Rubyanne) Bowman, both of Middletown; four
step-grandchildren, Leigh Ann (Steven) Turner, Todd Bowman, Sara Turner
and Ryan Bowman, all of Middletown; a sister, Genoah (John) Herron of
Florence, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews.
    ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21,
at Baker-Stevens
