Obituary: Catron, W. R. - Sunday, September 8, 1939 The Beattyville Enterprise - Sept. 14, 1939 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** W.R. Catron, 55, well known Wolfe County merchant, died suddenly at his home in Campton, Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. He was a native of Campton and a son of W.C. Catron and the late Mrs. Catron. Besides his father, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bertie Hanks Catron; a son, Homer [Omer] Catron, Campton; two sisters. Miss Myrtle Hanks, New Mexico and Mrs. Winnie Little; six brothers, Douglas Catron, Indiana, James of Illinois, Roger of West Liberty, Steve and DeWitt of Powell County, and Beckon of Owensboro; three grandsons and a granddaughter. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Methodist Church.
