BANKS DIED OF INJURIES IN WOLFE WRECK Garvin Beech Banks, 23, Mary, KY died at 8:30 o'clock Sunday night at Clark County hospital, Winchester of injuries suffered when his car overturned and pinned him underneath for four hours. The accident occurred about three o'clock Sunday morning on highway No. 15 about three miles east of Campton. A family lived near the scene saw the overturned car about seven o'clock and investigated. Banks was found pinned under the car. The family took him to Campton where he was transferred to an amublance and rushed to Clark County hospital. He suffered internal injuries and a broken arm. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Cora Banks, Mary; three brothers, Carl, Mary; James S. and Lester both of Dayton, O.: and five sisters, Mrs. Maxie Taylor, Middletown, O.: Mrs. Martie Pelfrey, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Norma Lutes, Mary, KY; Mrs. May Blevins, Germantown, O.: and Mrs. Nannie Jones, Drexel, Ohio. The body was removed to the Hearne Funeral Home at Stanton to await funeral arrangements. *************************** Wolfe County News - 1953 RITES HELD FOR WRECK VICTIM Fuenral services for Garvin Beech Banks, who was killed in a car wreck at Campton, Jan. 10 were held at the Antiock church, Thursday, Jan. 15 and burial was in the Banks cemetery at Mary, KY. Funeral services were in charge of I.D. Hearne Funeral Home. Funeral was preached by Rev. Jack Halcomb, Rev. John Dalton and Onie Banks.
