Roy Wesley Hamblin, son of John and Melda Monhollen Hamblin, of Whitley County , is a veteran of WWII.

He served time in the European theater from 1944 – 1945.  After WWII he remained in the Air Force attaining the rank of officer. 

He retired after giving 25 years of service to his country.  

He died June 2004 and is buried in the National Cemetery at Bushnell Florida .”
