Marriage of Silas Young and Caroline Golden (Golding)
Silas Young was first married to Nancy Hill. He and Nancy
were my great-great grandparents. Silas was the son of
John Young.

Marriage Bond Front

Be it known, that we Silas Young as principal and G.C. Brassfield as surety, are jointly and severally
bound to the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of one hundred dollars.

The Condition of this Bond is as follows:

That whereas, marriage is intended to be solemnized between the above bound Silas Young and
Carline Golding Now, if there is no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage, this bond shall be void;
otherwise, it shall remain in full force and effect.
Dated at Williamsburg, Whitley County, this 22nd day of Sept., 1880.

This is to Certify, That on the 23 day of September 1880, the RITES OF MATRIMONY were
legally solemnized by me between Silas Young and Carline Golden at Silas Youngs in the
county of Whitley in the presence of Jeff Young , John Young.

NOTE: Jeff Young is Silas' son, Thomas Jefferson Young.
