Former Resdient Dies In Frankfort -
Elihue Wise, 75, a resident of 408 High Street, Frankfort, died
at 3 p.m. February 5 at his home. Mr. Wise was born in
Bath County and formerly resided in Shelby. He was a veteran of
World War I and had many firends here in Shelby, all of whom
were saddened at his death. Surviving
are his wife, Mrs. Nora Gill Wise, Simpsonville, five sons,
George T. Wise, Taylorsville; Hugh G. Wise, Shelbyville; Harmon
L. Wise, Simpsonville; Roy C. Wise, Louisville; and Donald R.
Wise, Finchville; two daughters, Miss Alice Florence Wise,
Finchville; and Mrs. Marvin Gaines, New Castle; two sisters,
Mrs. Marcellus Scruggs, Finchville, and Mrs. Floyd Eden,
Memphis, Ind.; a brother, Collie Wise, Shelbyville and 12
grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m.
Saturday from Shannon Funeral Home by the Rev. Ken Forman.
Burial was in Grove Hill Cemetery.

OBIT - Elihue Wise, 77, of 408
High Street, was found dead in his apartment at 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday. Coroner John G. Rogers said he had suffered an
apparent heart attack. The body was
taken from Rogers Funeral Home to the Shannon Funeral Home,
Shelbyville, for services and burial. (published Feb 6,
