BURNETT BRYAN RITES AT BAGDAD
Burnett Bryan, 77, retired Bagdad farmer, died at the King's
Daughter's hospital. Born in Shelby County, Mr. Bryan was
the son of the late Jason and Margaret McGaughey Bryan. He
was a member of the Bagdad Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Blanche Estes Bryan, a sister,
Mrs. L. W. Munden, Indianapolis; Burnett Davis, Shelbyville;
Harold Davis, Middletown, and Lafayette Davis, Indianapolis; and
a niece, Mrs. Robert Graves, also of Indianapolis.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday at the
Bagdad Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordon Duncan officiating.
Burial was in the Bagdad Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rice Clark,
Newt Miles, Burnett Davis, Louis Kesler, Harold Davis, and Ben
Estes.

is the year 1951. This obit is from the collection of Mrs. Mary
"Mamie" Harp Franklin passed on to me by Mrs. Marion Crowell,
granddaughter of Capitolia Terrell Brown Sprague. Margaret
McGaughey Bryan, Burnett's mother, was the d/o Thomas McGaughey
& Lucindia "Lucy" Floyd. Lucy g-aunt of Captain Edwin Terrell.
