Samuel Wise Dies At Home of Daughter -
Samuel Wise, 91, died Saturday night at 8 o'clock at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. Floyd Edens, on the Girdler Farm, on the
Eminence road. Mr. Wise was a native of Franklin county, but
had made his home in Shelby for some time. Besides Mrs.
Edens he is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. William Dawson
and Mrs. Anna Scruggs, Shelby county, and Mrs. Minnie Tomblinson,
Indianapolis, Ind.; and three sons, Elihia, Colley and Jake Wise,
Shelby county. Funeral services were conducted Monday
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bagdad Baptist church by the Rev. R.
B. White and the Rev. Clell Rodgers. Interment followed in
the Bagdad cemetery.

Heart Attack Fatal To Mrs. McDonald - Mrs.
Myrtle Riddle McDonald, 46, wife of Charles P. McDonald, died suddenly
at 11:30 o'clock at her home in South Shelbyville, of a heart attack.
Mrs. McDonald was a native of Owen county, but had resided here for
some time. Besides her husband, she is survived by five
daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Hornback, Mrs. Louise Reynolds, Mrs. Catherine
Rogers, Mrs. Martha Cummins, and Miss Eva McDonald, Shelby county;
four sons, William H. McDonald, Oldham county; Earl McDonald, China;
James and Jesse McDonald, Shelby County; her mother, Mrs. Annie
Riddle, four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Miller, Mrs. Annie Huffman, and
Mrs. Maud Bramblett, all of Shelbyville, and Mrs. Jessie Clampett,
Cincinnati, Ohio; and four brothers, William, Ernest and Lonnie
Riddle, Shelby County, and George Riddle, Clawson, Mich.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at
the Chapel in Grove Hill Cemetery by the Rev. W. W. Horner. Interment
followed the services.
