DAR LOT in the FRANKFORT CEMETERY

The DAR LOT, while being a part of the Frankfort Cemetery in Franklin County, honors Revolutionary War Patriots that have been identified and interred here or there have been memorial stones placed here. This portion of the cemetery has been recently restored under the auspices of the DAR and a history of the lot and the patriots interred here has been published.

This lot was established in 1916, and some of the re-interrments were accomplished then, with others accomplished at later dates.

Under the Auspices of: indicates these are the person or organizations that are responsible for placing of monuments.

We are publishing here pictures of the tombstones and some information about the patriots. If you would like the full history, the books are available by contacting Linda Twyman.
