I Thomass Addams being of a sound mind and good Memmory do make and ordain this my last will and testament after Recommending my soul to God hoping for a glorious Ressurecttion there the Inter preselion of the lord Jesus Christ; as to my Wourldly Concearns my will is that thay shall be disposed of in the following manner, to wit, Item the my will is that my Sister Jane McKlen_ee Have All the rents of my land during hir life but to have no power to make atresfer of Said land my will also that at the death of my Sister Should she be longer liver is that all my lands Should be Sold and my will is also that in use, to wit, Marthay Gilmore have alikly young Negro wentch not to excede seventeen years of age. The said negro to be in the position of my Self and Sister during our lives then to be disposed of as above and in case there Should be no negro goat in that case my will Is that my nese above mentioned Shall have three hundred dollars out of the mony arrising from the Sail of any of My lands, I will to James Gilmore sen'r a large Vollum of Josefus Ritings now in posstion of Said Gilmore I will also to my nese above, to wit Mathy Gilmore my bed and fernuture My will Is also that after my Just debts and _____ Charges are paid the hole the ballence of My estate to be desposed of in the following Manner, to wit, they nefew William McK____ and my nese as before mentioned, to wit, Marthey Gilmore, with all the heirs of ___ said Marthey and Jame Gilmore gi___ [smudge] that should be living at the ____ this my will Should be Executed and all the heirs my nese Margret Crofford Wife __ Ellenander Crofford that shall be living as ab___The estate as before mentioned to be equally devided among the above mentioned legatees my will is also that my trusty frends John_ James, William Hambleton see that the will to fully and Justly executed, Sighnd an_ delivered in presents of us Sep't the 23 ____

At a Court held for Pulaski County on Monday ___ 27th day of June 1808 This will was proven ___ the true last will and testament of Thomas Adams dec'd by the oath of John James & J___ Preston two of the witnesses thareto, and another Court held for the said County on Monday the 22nd day of August in the sa__ year the said will was fully proven to be ___ act and deed, of the said Thomas Adams, by oath of Joseph McAllaster, another wit___ thereto, and the same has been duly recorded ___ my office as per order of said Court.
