joined the USAF, Dec. 27, 1950, leaving Somerset and was
inducted at Corbin, Ky. I was discharged
(honorable) Dec. 9, 1954 at Otis AF base, Falmouth, Mass.
I served for two and 1/2 years in the aleutian islands
and mainland of Alaska. Although I have lived in the Louisville area for the last 48 years, I still consider my home as Somerset, and Whitley Co. Ky where my ancestors settled in 1827, coming from NC." |
