Dica (Dicie) Stogsdill was my ggrandmother. The daughter of Shadrack Stogsdill & Nancy Cannefax, she was born Oct 29, 1826 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Dica died May 18, 1904 in Newton, Missouri. Dica married my ggrandfather James Wilson Lasley on July 4, 1842 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. This picture was probably in celebration of a marriage anniversary. If you look closely at the photo you will see that Dica appears to be holding a flag in her hand. James Wilson Lasley was born on June 8, 1816 in Stolks County, North Carolina. He died Apr 6, 1904 in Newton, Missouri.
