Leona,
Thanks for all of the info on the family of Thomas Lee. He is a
brother to my Seaton Lee, who is also a child of Stephen Lee and
Ann Poore. Yes, I have heard of a Charles Lee in our family. He
is several generations back and would be the one who established
Cobbs Hall as a residence. He would be a different Charles from
yours, of course.

You said you have Hughes going back in time. Do you have an Annis
Hughes that married George Waddle. George was a surety for the
marriage of James Keeney to Karen Hughes on March 15, 1806 or
1807. We are wondering if the girls could be sisters. Annis would
have been married before then as their first child Mary was born
in 1806.

George Waddle was born in VA 1780 and moved to Ky. He was a
surety for James Keeney and Karen Hughes in 1806 or 1807. George
mariried Annis Hughes so we are wondering if the girls are
sisters. George went to Tenn and lived there for awhile. But he
moved back to Pulaski Co. Ky. in 1830. But on the tax rolls I
find him from 1827 to 1845.
George V.Waddle married Elizabeth Ann woods in 1835. Sampson
married Sarah Jane Reynolds in 1844. Delilah Waddle married
Thomas Edington in 1837. All the Waddles moved to Mo by 1845 but
John Waddle George's son but I think he had died by 1860 because
he is not in the census. Hope someone has some information.

There are other BOGLES buried in the Pine Village Cemetary in
Warren County Indiana. I did not copy down all that information,
but the next time I am there I can get it. I am researching Louis
Green PARTON. He was my great grandfather. I have just started on

bond between Francis Emerson and Elizabeth McDaniel made 14, Dec
1831. Although this specific bond may not be the one you are
interested in, it is noteworthy that Elizabeth Emerson, Francis'
mother gave consent for the underage marriage (usually it is
father's consent unless he is dead), Wm McDaniel, relationship
not stated gave consent for Elizabeth McD.
In film 0008209, the Co property tax books, a Specer McDaniel is

Pulaski County, KY researchers:
Desperately seeking information regarding the parents of Thomas
Milford Williams, born Pulaski County, KY Apr 1880. Earliest
authenticated documentation of Thomas is 1900 Census, Dewey Cty,
Oklahoma Territitory where he and his sibs appear as
step-children of Hezekiah Lowe. Sibs born in KY: Felix Williams,
born May 1882; William M. Williams, born Feb 1884. The census
records indicate that the family had relocated to Kansas by June
of 1885. Later documentation proves that Thomas was born in
Pulaski County. Mother's name most probably Jane born May 1852,
KY (1900 Census). Father's name unknown.
Any information regarding this branch of the WILLIAMS family
greatly appreciated.

I am still looking for various things. I wonder if someone with
an 1850 census might look for a Ramsey couple with only one child
John William 2 yr old. Or someone with an 1860 census with a
Ramsey couple with 2 children; John William 12, Daniel J. 10. Or
with the Henry Owsley Cable family and see if these children
would have been living with them. Some place I believe these
children were living with another family perhaps. Also, I would
like to re-check the marriages for a couple, Ramsey male,
marrying in perhaps the 1840's...as they had John William by
1848. Anyone who might check Guardian Bonds...these children were
given to the Henry Owsley Cable family for care after their
parents died before the start of the Civil War. Elizabeth Ramsey
Cable was their aunt, as it has been stated that H. O. Cable was
their uncle. I thought it might be that she was a sister to the
unknown father of these boys. They had no other siblings. It was
stated they had 7 uncles and some owned a Still that blew up
about Christmas time one year and killed at least one before
1900.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thank you.

My GF, Lewis Green PARTON, was possibly born in Pulaski County 2
Oct 1879. He married Vada Mae HENDRICKS in 1898. Her parents were
Andrew James HENDRICKS ( b. 30 Aug 1855, d. 20 July 1887) and
Permelia Alice ALLEN (b. 2 Aug. 1864, d. 26 Sept. 1895) She was
also married to Mac Higgins. My family has Vada Mae bible and
several family pictures. I would like more information on
parents, other children, family stories, etc. Thanks for any
help.

children Rutherford, Maudie, James, Fred,
Mabel, Zora, Lulu, Henry, Samuel, Retta, Sherman,

married Angie Taylor who was born 19 Jul 1884. I don't

there are Shadoans who live around Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY at

descends from their oldest son john Allen who m Rachel

in response to BROWN, WILSON, HILL, EASTHAM, HARRIS, BARROW, posted by Jim Brown on Thu, 11 Jun 1998
Here goes my response to the above post by Jim Brown. You will
need a program to follow all this:
Father: 2 Brown, Jacob Wolford m. Caroline Cain. Surity Wm. R.
Cain. This is William Riley Cain who married Isabel Markham of
Wayne Co, KY, sister of my ancestor Elizabeth. I imagine Caroline
was his sister. They lived at Cain Store, Pulaski Co.
Grandfather: 6 WILSON, Moses Braxton
Grandmother: 7 EASTHAM, Elizabeth m. 21 May 1846. 14 children,
one of their grandchildren married into my Stephens family.
Grandfather: 12 WILSON, Thomas born 1795 VA, son of Thomas and
Mary. Married 13 Mar 1820 Adair Co, KY (not positive of dates).
Grandmother: 13 HARRIS, Sintha, d. 1870 Pulaski, buried on Family
Farm, House Fork Creek. Daughter of Theodore Moses Harris &
Dorcas Stephen who married 25 Jan 1802, Martinville, Henry Co,
VA. She was sister of my ancestor Dudley Stephens who fought in
the Rev. War.
Grandfather: 14 EASTHAM, Charles Pinkham, m. 11 Nov 1828. Seven
children, one daughter m. Wm. Joshua Roy, Sarah m. Zachariah
Eastham whose daughter Miriam E. married Francis Marion Stephens
in 1858, son of Shadrack Williams Stephens my ancestor, all
living side by side on 1860 Census.
Grandmother: 15 BARROW, Mary, daughter William Barrow and
Susannah Mitschel.
Is there a point to all this? I want to show how these families
married first in Henry Co, VA, moved to Pulaski (through the
Cumberland Gap), and continued to intermarry in KY. Edwin Brown,
Susan who sent in the other letters, William Surber Wilson, and I
all descend from the same man- Dudley Stephens.
I have Surbers book, taken from information furnished him by Dr.
Walter Wayne Smith, first cousin to my grandmother Stephens. (See
dedication to Dr. Smith in front of Surber's book). I have most
of it on my computer, plus much more. Dr. Smith has a collection
in the library at Salisbury, Rowan Co, NC which consists of
35,000 papers, most of them letters from these families collected
from 50 yrs. of research. Facinating reading! I am about 1/3
through after three trips to NC spending 3-4 days each time, and
have collected about 15,000 names of these families.
Hope the above is correct, I am doing this from scribbled notes.
My computer is at home. Hope to hear from more connections, and
willing to share.

marriage between a RAMSEY and PENCE of possibly 1840's. First
child born 1848, John William Ramsey (parents still unknown).
Needing the children of Daniel F. and Mary DONAHO RAMSEY of

I am researching James and Elizabeth Woosley. James b. in
Virginia d. 1847 in Clark Co., Ohio m. Elizabeth (unknown maiden
name) b. October 28, 1790 in Kentucky d. November 5, 1862 in
Clark Co., Ohio. James and Elizabeth's birth places came from a
bibliography and a census, respectively. I know that they moved
to Ross Co., Ohio in 1806. Supposedly, James is descended from
Cardinal Wolsey (Henry VIII) and was from a large family (13
children). I have a lot of information on their descendants, but
need to know information on them.

she used MCDONALD, and that was correct for them. My husband also
